The Bible contains six admonishments to homosexuals and 362 admonishments to heterosexuals. That doesn't mean that God doesn't love heterosexuals. It's just that they need more supervision.

(Closed)Tropic Thunder, 01 November '08, Saturday, 9.30pm

Time has been confirmed!

The movie i've been waiting is finally here! Looks set to be a really funny movie... you can't go wrong putting, Jack Black, Ben Stiller and Robert Downey Jr together plus a host of hollywood cameo by Tom Cruise, Tobey Maguire, etc. It has garnered rave reviews:

"...a knockout of a comedy that keeps you laughing constantly." – Peter Travers, Rolling Stone (A-)

"...finds big laughs in the trenches of creative self-absorption." – Lisa Schwarzbaum, Entertainment Weekly (A)

"...this may be the first popcorn comedy that plainly -- and repeatedly -- bites the hackneyed hand that feeds it." – Bill Gibron, filmcritic.com (B+)

A group of self-absorbed actors set out to make the most expensive war film. But after ballooning costs force the studio to cancel the movie, the frustrated director refuses to stop shooting, leading his cast into the jungles of Southeast Asia, where they encounter real bad guys.

So come and join us for a night of good fun and laughs!

(Closed) Vicky Cristina Barcelona, 25th Oct 08, Saturday

Guys I've changed the deadline to 23rd Oct 1500 Hrs cos the cinema is damn small so might not have enough seats by midnight! Thanks :)

Love love love Scarlett Johansson!!! & of course, Sassy Penelope Cruz just spins the whole plot inside out, another magnificent combo! Directed by Woody Allen, my all time favorite director, who would wanna miss this?

Here's the synopsis:

"Vicky (Rebecca Hall) and Cristina (Scarlet Johansson) visit Barcelona for their summer, staying with Vicky's distant relative Judy (Patricia Clarkson) and her husband, Mark Nash (Kevin Dunn). A Narrator (voice of Christopher Evan Welch), present throughout the film, describes the two friends: Vicky is practical and traditional in her approach to love and commitment, and is engaged to the reliable but unromantic Doug (Chris Messina). She is in Barcelona getting her masters in Catalan Identity, a project spawned by her love of the works of Gaudí, and is emotionally moved by Spanish guitar. Cristina, on the other hand, is spontaneous and unsure of what she wants in life. She is just out of a relationship and wants to get over the bad time she had making a 12-minute film about Love." - Synopsis Taken from IMDB

Date: 25th Oct 08, Sat
Time: 7:00pm (dinner before that?)

"Women Who Love Women – Conversations in Singapore" is now available Online!

"One of the few documentaries ever made about lesbians in Singapore, this documentary, filmed in 2006 uses interview footage with three Singaporean lesbians -Amanda Lee, Sabrina Renee Chong and Gea Swee Jean, to get a rare glimpse into lesbian lives in Singapore. Intimate and often candid, these lesbians share about their lives and loves and their views on topics such as coming out and relationships. Sometimes heartbreaking, and often times, funny, the documentary captures the lives of lesbians who have chosen to live authentically and is a testament to the courage, tenacity and experiences of lesbians living in Singapore"

Made Singapore history because the film was screened at the Singapore International Film Festival (5 screenings) and Sinema.sg (15 screenings).
