Shout-Outs!

The Bible contains six admonishments to homosexuals and 362 admonishments to heterosexuals. That doesn't mean that God doesn't love heterosexuals. It's just that they need more supervision.

(Closed) Evening Picnic @ Marina Barrage, 28th Feb '09, Saturday, 5-8pm

Hi guys, Mother Nature was a bitch today but i'm glad everyone who came still braved the heavy downpour to support the Evening Picnic @ Marina Barrage... The food was great (savoury pastas & soon keuhs, delectable fried carrot cakes, juicy sausages and fishballs, to-die-for choclate cheese brownies, yummy cream puffs & pies, crispy karrages & spring rolls, delicious ice-creams, thirst-quenching drinks, wine, fruits and many many more!) but the company was even better!!!! I'd like to thank everyone who came down despite the clammy air and the wet floors, i hope it didn't dampen anybody's mood and you guys still had fun... And for the new faces who came today, welcome to the club!!!!

With February coming to a close, it's time for me to take off the hat of Project Manager and pass it to my successor (or successors) Otto & Han... I hope all of you will continue to support them as you did me as they bring you the next round of great TBP events and movie outing this coming March and i can't wait to see what they have up their sleeves!!!!

Once again, thank you for the support this month and i'll see you guys in the upcoming events!!!

Fancy a meal under the setting sun overlooking the cityscape as the wind caresses the landscape?

Built across the mouth of the Marina Channel, the Marina Barrage creates Singapore’s 15th reservoir, and the first in the heart of the city. With a catchment area of 10,000 hectares, or one-sixth the size of Singapore, the Marina catchment is the island’s largest and most urbanised catchment. Together with two other new reservoirs, the Marina Reservoir will boost Singapore’s water catchment from half to two-third’s of the country’s land area.

As the water in the Marina Basin is unaffected by the tides, its water level will be kept constant all year round. This is ideal for all kinds of recreational activities such as boating, windsurfing, kayaking and dragonboating etc.

For the replacement event on February, The Bear Project will be organizing an evening picnic at the Marina Barrage. There's food (potluck of cos), great view, friends, great photo opportunities and wide open spaces for bears to roam around, what's not to love!!!

So for those people who are interested, please sign up ASAP as we are going to close the posting on Thursday, 26th Feb to work out the logistics... You are required to bring food (please no chips and snacks... it'll almost be like dinner under the stars) and drinks... If you attendedthe Lo-Hei event last month, you can bring the same food so as not to ponder too much on what you are going to bring.

(CANCELLED) Ride The Original Ducktours – A Land & Sea Adventure, 28 February '09, Saturday, 4-5pm (tbc)

Hi guys,

Due to the weak response of the event, we decided to cancel this event and replace it with another... I'm really sorry to disappoint those that were keen to attend this event... I guess it's not the right time to do something like this yet... No worries, i'm sure we'll be able to do something like this in the future. In the meantime, do check out what the replacement event will be... It'll be equally fun and we won't be restrcited by the number of people attending... Since we are only 1 week away from the event, if you are keen, please sign up and respond ASAP so we can deal with all the logistics and get it over and done with so everyone can have a good time on that day...

Again, let me apologise for the cancellation of the event and hope it will not stop you from joining the many other activites we have planned in the future... ;)

It's a bus! It's a boat! It's the Original Splashing DUCK! DUCKtours uniquely combines the city and harbour tour on an authentic Vietnam warcraft, offering you 60 minutes of amphibious touring adventure on both land and sea. Come and be entertained by our DUCKtainers. Hold on to your seat as it waddles away and be prepared for a splashing good time! Ask for the Original Award Winning DUCK@Suntec today!

We are planning to book the whole Duck for the 1 hour tour. If we book the boat, it'll cost us $588.50 (inclu GST) and it can house 31 people which means if we have a full house, everyone will only pay $19 instead of $33 which is the normal price... So the less people, the more we'll have to pay... So people who sign up, must commit, no last minute no shows!!!! We will collect payment earlier to prevent this :) Modes of payment for the tour will be announced once we get enough response.

Date: 28 February 2009
Time: 4–5pm (TBC)
Boarding Venue: Suntec City (Galleria)

Check out their site for more details.

So do sign up as soon as possible so that we can make the necessary arrangements! We are hoping to fill the whole boat, so we need 31 people!

Hey guys,
i'd like to thank everyone who attended the movie outing this month... It's really nice to reconnect with some of the memebers and meet new faces during this outing... The movie was great and altho we had a bit of a trouble at dinner and coffee (since there are so many people attending) i think it didn't dampen any one's mood... The next event is coming up next week so if you guys haven't sign up, please do so ASAP... Special thanks to Vitalauto for helping out during the event... Cheers!!!!

Synopsis:
A group of interconnected, Baltimore-based twenty- and thirtysomethings navigate their various relationships from the shallow end of the dating pool through the deep, murky waters of married life, trying to read the signs of the opposite sex--and hoping to be the exceptions to the "no-exceptions"; rule.

Gigi just wants a man who says he'll call--and does--while Alex advises her to stop sitting by the phone. Beth wonders if she should call it off after years of committed singlehood with her boyfriend, Neil, but he doesn't think there's a single thing wrong with their unmarried life. Janine's not sure if she can trust her husband, Ben, who can't quite trust himself around Anna. Anna can't decide between the sexy married guy, or her straightforward, no-sparks standby, Conor, who can't get over the fact that he can't have her. And Mary, who's found an entire network of loving, supportive men, just needs to find one who's straight.
